I think I just found a file-sharing bug in Win7.
I have a "gigabit NAS" (unsure of mfg). I created a share on it, and assigned it a UN/PW combo. That combo is the same as my login on my WinXP machine.
I have two Win7 machines, a desktop and a new laptop.
The desktop is configured with the same login UN/PW combo. I can also log into the NAS seamlessly.
The laptop, until recently, had the same UN, but no login PW. So when I click on the NAS share, it prompts me for a UN/PW. Typing in my UN/PW combo DOES NOT WORK.
But yet, if I assign a windows login password, again, I get seamless access to the NAS.
Win7 is BROKEN.
