Which filesharing apps are not associated with spyware?

With iMesh I noticed that there's this little thing that goes on the top left of your screen which I had noticed with kazaa/morpheus as well. I ran Ad-Aware, spyware removal tool, and removed all the spyware components found. And magically, iMesh would not work after, some of it's apparently needed files were mysteriously missing. I refuse to use that junk now, unless I know for sure it's clean.

Maybe I should just write my own (not by myself of course, my company)? Maybe we should develop our own. We've already got our hands full with current ideas for projects (haven't done much yet, still piecing the whole thing [company idea] together) , but this has been pissing me off and I think I should add it to the list of programs to write.

Just ranting/venting... does anyone have suggestions of good filesharing apps that are proven to not be spyware, are fast, efficient, etc?

Thanks.

<< Morpheus is still spyware-free as far as I know.

Kazaa = very bad.

Really. I always was under the impression they were EXTREMELY identical, name set aside. Perhaps this is an important difference.

I will install Morpheus and see if it has Spyware detectable by Ad-Aware. I'll let y'all know. :p

Nope.

Also you can choise not to install the spyware that comes with KaZaA. Just uncheck everything except for KaZaA when you install it.

how badly infected is audiogalaxy?
I use it for all my techno/trance because of such fast transfers.
Kazaa/Morpheus only gives me under 1k half the time with random mid 100k connections.

Audiogalaxy automatically installs (I believe it's called) WebHancer spyware. But you can remove it and the program will still work.

Once again, Americans decide that because people aren't acting like us, they are "sick mutherf*cers".

And once again somebody brings in the 'American' issue. If there is a universal morality, i think this would be it. Tell me which culture that you would not get a similar reaction in?

perhaps it is our fault for not putting enough funding (charity) into the effort to stop this rumor

It is our fault that some people on the other side of the world thinks that raping infants will cure them of aids?
