File Sharing and Using Different Credentials

Here's my setup: I have one Windows 2003 Server machine and a few WinXP Pro clients. For simplicity, lets say there are three folders, called "Joe", "Steve", and "Rob" shared on the server. They're configured so only the user account "Joe" has access to the "Joe" folder, and so on. This is fine for each individual machine, where everyone logs on with their own account. Simple filesharing is disabled on the XP clients.

Now, the problem: There is one shared machine on the network, one that Joe, Steve, and Rob all use, and all must be able to use to access their files. The trick is, I really would like to leave this computer logged on with one user account (call it "Public", and it will be a "Limited" account), and map each person's folder to a drive or have a network shortcut, that when clicked on, prompts for credentials. Therefore, Rob's credentials must be supplied to logon to his folder, etc. I can't seem to do this, as when I map the drive and choose "Logon using different credentials", Windows XP wants to remember them, and won't let me prompt for them every time. When I use shortcuts to the shared folders, the checkbox "Use different credentials" in the advanced properties is greyed out.

My other problem is that once the credentials are entered, Windows XP remembers them for the duration of the session, meaning if Rob has accessed his files, then Joe can too if he uses the computer after Rob. How can I make Windows ask for the password everytime the folder/drive is opened, and forget as soon as the window is closed, or after, say, 10 minutes of the folder being closed or accessed?

Thanks for the help all.

I don't think what you want to accomplish can be done through the GUI. Especially the part about forgetting the credentials. One option for you is to use Fast User Switching but I'm not sure if that's available in Win2k3.
