File Server power supply

I am trying to figure out what PSU would work well for a file server that i am planning on building from a bunch of spare parts that i have.

here is what is gonna go in it....

Pentium 4 1.7GHz (socket 478)
Intel MicroATX motherboard
Geforce 3 or some old Radeon AGP
512MB PQI value memory
Promise PCI RAID controller
2x100GB Western Digital HD (mirrored)
2x30GB WD HD (mirrored)
20GB Seagate HD
SONY 32x24x40 CDRW
SONY 8x DVD-ROM
and one or two case fans.

It wont get heavy use because there will be no video-gaming on it. The heaviest use that it will see is when files are either being saved/accessed from it.

Ideally i care about the system being as quiet as possible (single 120mm fan) since it will be on all of the time. Also, i dont want to spend alot (<50) of money on this. It there such a PSU that will satisfy my needs?

I was looking at some 400W Rosewill and Coolmax PSUs, but i havent heard anything good about them. So i am looking for opinions.

I currently have an old 350W Enermax that i used on my Athlon 1.2 Thunderbird, would that do the job?

I would go for a quality +400watt one. I run a 440watt Raidmax with my 6HD setup and never had a problem. Don't let someone talk you into running something outragous like a 500watt or more power supply.
 
I didn't even read the last line of your post. Forget about buying a new PSU. The Enermax you currently have should work fine.
 
Even a 250 watt PSU should be fine for mutliple drives. I remember I had a 250watt PSU computer Socket 7 with 5 or 6 drives in it and it was using only 100 watts under load... Then agian it was a Pentium based system so a 350 watt should be sufficient.
 
I ran a P3 Celeron 1.3, 512 MB, gf2 mx card and 4 hard drives with a 350 watt PSU from an Antec SLK3700, though I eventually replaced it with a Zalman 400 watt lower noise PSU.

One tip is if you have front fan holders that can add airflow past the drives do it, you can put in something low speed and silent but it will make sure the drives aren't in a dead air hot spot.

I didn't even see that, 350watt should be fine.
 
I don't know how sturdy the 12V rail is on your Enermax, but you'll need at least 10A for starting up the hard drives (about 5A while running). This may cause you to have to hit the reset button once to get a clean startup. But once everything is up and running you should be OK.

Unfortunately both of the XClio PSUs are now OOS and may not return as Meridian Technology will be doing a whole new line of PSUs. I hope the new ones are anywhere near as good.
