File security in Windows XP?

I am running a windows home network. All of my files shared are viewable to anyone on my network, is therre a way to password protect them? or Log user access?

Disable the guest account.

If you're on win2k disable the guest account as noted by Nothinman.

If you're running winXP turn off "use simple file sharing"

There's nothing wrong with EFS, as long as you backup your private key.

If you're running winXP turn off "use simple file sharing"

You'll most likely need to disable the guest account on XP as well.
