I have a video with audio file. I am using Windows Vista. The video file ends in .ASF and was recorded from an MPEG4 digital video recorder. The file plays in Windows Photo Gallery but not in Windows Media Player.
I have tried the CCCP and Vista Codec Package codec packs but they don't help play the file in WMP. The file however, does play in Windows Photo Gallery which is already part of Windows, so why not in WMP? I get an error saying that a certain Intel audio codec is not found, but I already have a codec pack which does play the file in Photo Gallery.
How do I get WMP to play it?
