File names sort backwards by default

How exactly can I get windows to by default sort my files from A-z and 1-9. It does it opposite right now, kinda weird cause my friends notice it on their computers too. In my main my music folder, the folders sort properly, but if I open a folder, like The Incredibles soundtrack, and look inside, it sorts backwards. Can anyone help? Thanks!

Problem is it's sorting alphabetically by first letter. 1 comes before 2. 19 will be sorted before 2. I don't know how to fix it to do numeric.

Couple thoughts.

Click on the "Type" bar at the top, this will cause files to be listed by type and generally Alphabetize them as well.

The other option that may apply here is that you will have to rename some files if this is what you're getting:

1
19
2
3
etc.

You'll need to rename 1 to 01, 2 to 02, etc. and you should get this:

01
02
03
. . .
19
