File Library type program needed....

I am looking for a program that I know exists, but I can't seem to find anywhere!! I want a program that will keep a list of every file I have on cd/dvd, and tell me which one it is on. That way, whenever I need a specific file, I can just grab that number disk, and it will have it....anyone have any suggestions?
 
I want one that automatically looks at the contents of a disk, and lists all the file/folders automatically...I will have thousands of files, and I am not typing them all out by hand. I used to have a program that did this, but I can't remember the name of it or where I got it.

Edit: I also need to make sure it has a search feature...some of the ones i'm finding don't allow that, which seems worthless to me.
