File is ISO but comes up as EXE, how to change?

I have an ISO I would like to burn, but somehow the file isnt an ISO, its an exe. Does anyone know how I can change the file format so it is an ISO again, in W2K? Ive tried to just add ".iso" to the end of the file name, but that doesnt seem to work.
 
I figured out how to do it, if anyone is curious. Go to explorer, and Tools, Folder Options, view, and uncheck the box that says hide file extensions. Then you can just type in the new file extension when you rename the file.
