File downloads always corrupt?

It's weird every larger file I download seems to be corrupt. from archives to exes to larger jpegs they are corrupted. What could explain this? This is a new windows xp install with new hard drive...
 
Could be fvcked up ram, try testing it (since that's easy enough)

How about General Hardware or another On Topic area next time? 😛
