File corruption woes -

Is there software that can help me figure out if my IDE cable is bad with a simple file transfer?

Errors will sometimes show up in "Event Viwer", right in the OS (assuming Win 2000 or XP).

Swapping out suspect IDE cable and checking/rechecking results in Event Viewer may give you an answer.
