File Compression Program?

I have a bunch of large files (movies) that I would like to compress down to make them easier to transfer. Is there anything that you guys would recommend? Thanks in advance...

WinZip only shrunk it by 4MB. When it's a 650MB file, 4MB doesn't help much. Is there a setting that I can use to make it smaller? I used maximum compression and that's all the smaller it got... Haven't tried the other two though - I'll have to look in to those.

compressing "movies" (I assume divx or similar:Q) don't compress well with any prog since they are so compressed as it is.

Good luck though.

I'm guessing that as they are 650MB movies, they will be DivX, which is quite well compressed as they are.

But i agree that WinRaring them on maximum will bring them down a little, but i doubt anything too substantial. Each will fit onto a CD, or will only take a couple of minutes to transfer, even over a 10mbps network! (i know, i've done it with about 15 movies, took about an hour to copy them all across a 10mbps hub! :Q)
