File compatability questions between 2000/me

Hi, I am about to install windows 2000. I have windows ME right now, and wanted to upgrade. The question is about file compatability. I have two harddrives, one 60 gig and one 40 gig. I want to copy over personal files like mp3s and schoolwork and stuff like that over to the 40 gig, and then clean install windows 2000 on the 60 gig. Will the files/HD on the 40 gig HD that I copied over while using Windows ME still work/be recognized with the Windows 2000 that would become my OS?
Thanks

Yes, since both recognize and use FAT32 well.
