I dont know.

4096cores at 1150MHz, seems way higher than I expected. Usually the clocks for Radeon cards are top 1000MHz, now its 1150MHz? On top of that you got so many cores in one silicon?
Doesnt make much sense.

Then there is that 8GB HBM which also doesnt make any sense regarding all the interviews AMD did and said 4GB is enough and that they have drivers etc making sure the graphic card will work fine with it.

ID for this card is 67C8.
Hawaii 290X is 67aX
295X2 is 67bX.
So I guess a bigger chip than those two makes sense to have that ID.

Not sure, not sure

No matter if those pricings are made up or not...I actually expect AMD to lowball like this.

The 300 series is not about being the best in terms of performance...it's about staying relevant at any cost until 2016.
That's great for us the user...but let's see what will actually happen..time for AMD to finally spill the beans.

But I would actually bet for AMD to try and beat Nvidia on every front by pricing alone. Still hoping for Fiji XT actually being as fast as a Titan...just so thriving for more and more performance asap is something that stays relevant.

8GB Fiji disagrees with you

So, 3 versions of AMD Fury.

8GB of HBM and 1150 MHz core,
4GB of HBM and 1000 MHz core, which was few months ago in chiphell benchmark faster than Titan X,
4GB of HBM and cut down version of Fiji, which is between GTX 980 Ti, and Titan X in performance and destroys 980Ti in price.

Not bad lineup.

If R9 390X and the rest gets up to GTX980 in performance, and in 4K is faster, that is quite good IMO.

We all know Big Maxwell is quite the overclocker, but hampered by a max 275w TDP (SKYN3T to the rescue). I'm really interested in seeing how well Fiji overclocks. I assume similar to Hawaii and Tahiti? Good chips should top out at around 1300Mhz+? Also, scaling...

Fiji apparently has 2 8-pin power connectors, so I wouldn't expect miracles.

8GB Fiji is not even officially confirmed yet... Something that officially does not even exist yet can not disagree with me.

Right now ALL the infos are pretty wonky.

So what? Titan X also comes with a 6 + 8 and has huge OC headroom (but needs water to reach it, regardless). HBM sucks a lot less power than GDDR5...especially 12 GB of it. So even if the card needs a legit 2x8...theres a water version and more power goes toward GPU than ram...that would only indicate the possible monstrosity that this thing COULD be.

Unless of course, you do not exist either.... :hmm:

6+8 on Fiji would be much better to me...

Fiji vr 2x8gb hbm 1399-1499

That is a scary thought. I wonder if such a beast would finally shut these shills up. Somehow I doubt it, since if most buyers already ignore the one card that already sits at the top of the charts (the 295x2) they are just as capable of ignoring a whole bunch of cards that sit at the top of the charts.

This was also leaked by a distributor on ChipHell:

R9 380 4gb 199
R9 390 8gb 299
R9 390x 8gb 399
Fiji pro 4gb hbm 599
Fiji xt 4gb hbm 749
Fiji xt /xtx 8gb hbm 849
Fiji vr 2x8gb hbm 1399-1499
Way too big a gap between 399 and 599, and if the 599 part is only 4GB, that's a mistake. It doesn't matter how fast you can crunch data if you run out of memory and have to swap textures on slower system RAM. 4GB will barely make the cut regardless of how fast the card is otherwise.

They need a Fiji Pro card at 499 with 6gb in order to be relevant price-wise. 599 is too close to 649 6GB 980Ti.

At least for DX11 titles 4GB is enough....after all those games all drop below 60 fps long before you get to fill those 4GB.

But yea...it would be a lil moar futureproof to have more.

6GB HBM is not very likely IMHO. Either we are stuck at 4GB or we will see 4/8GB options.

SO why are the Fiji cards only showing HBM? Wont the R9 3xx cards have HBM built into as well? OR are the R9 3xx just rebrands of R9 2xx cards?

No definitive news yet, but the word is that 390s will be Hawaii 'tweaked' and offer 8GB versions as well. 380s will probably be the 285 reincarnated along with a full-Tonga offering.

Again all speculation, but thats the current though. Fiji will be 'Fury' brand only.

Look like those are just re brand. Only Fury is the non-rebrand one. I will never bother with re-brand since I am the type that upgrade my computer every 7 years or so.

Probably a screenshot of a 8GB hawaii card, new or old. 1250 = default memory speed for 290/290x and 1150 is well within most cards overclocking range. No indication that this is actually Fiji at all.

If not outright fake.
