Hey all,
Well, I was auto-scrolling through an extremely long thread, and I made some discoveries....
First, when you are auto-scrolling, (push your middle mouse button in MSIE) the little anchor point you drop stays where it is put, but you can move the other little scroller arrow around with your arrow keys. Also, I found that, by moving this little ah heck around, and dodging forum elements, you can create your own kind of raiden-style scroller game.
Just follow these steps:
Move your mouse to one side of your screen and middle-click to drop the anchor.
Move the little arrow thing that replaces your cursor (which we will now call "the spaceship" to the middle of the screen and let go of your mouse,
Use your arrow keys to control speed, direction, and position of your spaceship.
Of course, there is no collision detection, or sound effects. --But it can be amusing for a few seconds....
I say, if this catches on, we use the rest of this thread to create a course for the "spaceship" using smilies and other objects. I'll start it below.
