Fighters fly over Fenway

Looking out the window of a 12-story building in Boston, I captured the famous Fenway flyover with with my digital camera. The roar from the planes isn't loud on the video but was definitely felt where I was. I'm told they are F-16s.

Video [5.11 MB / 15 seconds]

Enjoy!

That's neat.. I was snowboarding and a f15 came over doing all sorts of spins, extremely low. The vibrations and noise were unbelievable. I've heard that this happened at another resort and the jet flew so low that it flipped the chairlift, killing some people.

Here in Tacoma we get the C130s flying over daily from McChord AFB, I remember seeing the same thing you did going over my house during the MLB all-star game in 2001

That's crazy about the chairlift incident. I remember in Italy some years back that a low-flying fighter on a training mission triggered an avalanche.

I think the incident in Italy was that the plane was so low that it actually snagged the chairlift cable.

I'm familiar with the chairlift snag incident.

My story was a separate incident that I doubt made any American news as there were no injuries/fatalities. Just a low-flying plane and a lot of noise. I was reminded of it by the flyover. I'll check to see if the Corriere has the story in its archives.

i live down the street from turner field and 2 f18s flew over on opening night. they were so close that all the car alarms went off on the street. i would have loved to get video but it happened so fast there was no time.

I had a lot of time to set up the shot. People starting congregating where I was and I kept hearing "flyover, flyover". Turns out the planes take the same route every year, and these people gather to see it from that vantage point.
