Was browsing around today and came across the FightAIDS@Home proejct.

Doesn't look like it's setup for BOINC yet but if it does, I'd be very interested in switching over to it. Anyone else run this at all or know anything about it? I tried to post in the forums over ther ebut you have to sign up which links you to download and install their software which I won't do so I guess I'm stuck.

But anyway, it looks like a project with a very real goal instead of just random possible goals like the protein stuff.

WCG is adding a BOINC version of their software and I believe there is a link to it in their forum WCG just added the fight aids project and are currently 90 percent complete with their Rosetta project.

I found a link in the forums that it does (mostly) work with BOICN Windows now. But how the heck do you sign up without installing their custom software? Every "Sign Up" link I find just takes me to download the software. I just want to get an account key and such.

"At this time FightAids@Home is not supported under BOINC/Windows."
It seems you can only do the Rosetta units with bionc now. To crunch the aids work units you will have to use their software . I'm not sure if you can setup a account using bionc you may have to setup the account with their software and then get a key for bionc.

To create a BOINC-account, click on the "Download Linux"-link, even if you runs windows. 😉

But remember, FightAids@home isn't available under BOINC yet, only Rosetta is.
