Can anyone confirm or know what fight stick is compatible with PC for SF4.

In the future, please try to refrain from using a specific model as a general descriptor.

I believe that most Xbox 360 arcade-style controllers (joysticks) are compatible with PC.

I can confirm that the Xbox 360 Madkatz TE Fight Stick works very well with a PC. There are also some custom made arcade sticks that will work fine, but most of those have 6 buttons instead of 8 on the TE stick and cost significantly more. The Madkatz TE FightStick is THE stick to get. There is pretty much no alternative when it comes to price/performance ratio. You can get the SE stick, but that one is prone to breaking, and it doesn't have Sanwa parts. Although many say it's irrelevant, it actually DOES matter. Just don't expect to get an arcade stick and instantly start owning. It wont improve your skill in SF the moment you get it. This thing has a very steep learning curve and is actually quite difficult to use. I got mine 3 days ago, and I am stil having difficulty pulling off some very basic moves which is extremely frustrating.

I picked up a HRAP3 Link for the PC and it has worked well. The main difference between the HRAP3 and the TE is that only the 360 TE works on the PC reliably and the HRAP3 does not use Sanwa buttons. The HRAP3 buttons can be switched out to Sanwa if at some point you decide that the buttons suck. Not being a hardcore arcade person I can't imagine the buttons being significantly different.

For me the TE didn't seem like it was worth the extra $50 but with the HRAP3 being apparently sold out at Amazon it isn't like the TE is a bad choice.

I am wondering whether the PS3 version of Fight Stick works with PC. Can anyone confirm it?

Well is it just a random luck or is there something I can do to increase the odds?
Think it has to do with which chipset your mobo is. If it's an nVidia, it may not work.

the above is IIRC

I picked up the for XBox Collector's Edition fight stick . I am having a BLAST!! Brings back a lot of memoirs. i think the last time i play SF was back in SF Alpha 2.

I still think the Counter Attack move in Alpha 2 was the best. But, I like the SF 4 😀

Im so glad they have it on PC.

i recently got the Fight Stick SE and modded it w/ Sanwa buttons and stick. i already had the drivers for the 360 wireless controller receiver, but you'll need to install those upon first startup.

The PS3 version of the TE Stick does work with PCs but it's very picky about what mobo you are using. According to some people it doesn't work with AMD mobos at all.

Well if it works with Intel chipsets then I can live with that. Though it's kinda curious why the thing is being picky on motherboards? Is it related to USB controller? I know AMD's USB controller is slightly lacking in performance compared to that of Intel's, but compatibility hasn't been issue with any of the device I've tried.

So PS3 Fight Stick Tournament Edition works with ICH10R, confirmed? I'd like to get the game and the stick this week!

i use my Sanwa stick I built for ps3/xbox360. i put it in PS3 mode and it works fine on the PC. it's a Cthulhu board.

just got sf4 on PC last night, anyone want to run some matches feel free to send me a friend request ... purbeast is my tag 🙂

I'd happily set to making my own cthulhu board, I just don't know anything about making the enclosure for the components.

Best thing to do is to pick up the 360 version then mod it to work with PS3 as well. You get the headset port that way plus guaranteed PC compatibility.

It is compatible IF you have the RIGHT USB CONTROLLER on your motherboard or external usb card. If you go into the DEVICE MANAGER on windows and make sure your USB controller is UHC (Universal Host Controller).

If you check the shoryuken website and in the right thread(can't think of now) it will also list some external usb cards you can buy which will work in case your motherboard doesn't have UHC USB controller.
