Go here & sign the petition to keep the double disc in production!

I personally thought the movie was great and think Chuck Palahniuk is an awesome author

Check out his site here.

I hate those online petitions, but I already own it and have for some time now so if they stop production it doesn't really matter. :p

Oh yes! I signed it! 198341325 times! Under different names! We all know that online petitions with a bunch of names can and would change anything we want!

Those online petitions have worked quite a few times for DVD related stuff. I remember when Willy Wonka came out only in pan & scan and there was a massive petition, so later on they released a widescreen version.

Anyway, Fox is doing this to quite a few discs. Cast Away and Independence Day are two others that come to mind...they will now be single disc releases.

by far, one of the worst, drawn-out, and boring movies i've ever seen. They will NOT be getting my money.

I know it's a selfish reason, but I kind of want them to stop producing the 2 disc edition because it'll be... well, special. :) Most of the movie's hardcore fans already own it, and if having a cheaper version will encourage more non-hardcore fans to buy it, that's probably the better thing to do.

:Q

I'd hate to see what you actually think is a good movie, then.

As for the whole Willy Wonka thing, could it be that they always intended to release the widescreen version seperately and people just thought that they accomplished something with these online petitions? :)

Nope...it was NEVER intended...they even stated this numerous times because they felt it was a family film and families want to watch in "fullscreen"

me too

and I kinda agree... it'll make my disc more valuable and I'd guess that those who wanted it will already have bought it. This will just open up a new market (the cheaper ppl) and maybe more ppl will see and appreciate Fight Club

Good. I hate those two disc sets that raise the price by including a second disc that I never watch.

If you haven't bought it by now, you don't deserve to own it :)

Besides, they'll probably redo it in HDTV on blue-laser DVD2 in a few years anyway.
