They're two totally different shows, and are aired on different networks in England. Top Gear is an hour long and more comic in nature - on balance it's the more fun of the two. Fifth Fear is half an hour and has the fantastic Tiff Needell, who I generally like better than any of the Top Gear guys.

Clarkson > Needell. Needell is the better driver, but Clarkson's unique way of describing things puts him head and shoulders above Needell.

Top Gear is by far the better show. Cooler cars, leagues-better camera work, better music, and better co-hosts.

The cheap car showdown was awesome, and they capped the show with a GT3 RS vs. 360 CS. Unbelievable.
