November 01, 2004 - Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment will release The Fifth Element: Ultimate Edition on January 11, 2005 for $24.96 each.

In addition to a 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer, the film will come with English Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 5.1 audio. Extras are:

# The Star Element featurette and film gallery
# The Visual Element featurette and film gallery
# The Alien Element gallery of featurettes
# The Digital Element featurettes

The video on this Deluxe Edition will be in 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen and audio is English Dolby Digital 5.1 or DTS 5.1. Extras include:

# The Professional: A 10 Year Reunion featurette
# Trial by Fire: Natalie Portman as Mathilda featurette
# Birth of a Star: Jean Reno as Leon featurette

In addition to this disc, there will be a new unrated international version of the Superbit release.

I'll buy the Leon set, I have the current international version but would love it in Superbit.

I've got them both in Superbit I'm not buying them again for the junk I never watch. :)

Yep. The FE transfer is already about as good as it gets. And the Leon transfer is fine as well.

Double and tripple dipping on DVDs are only OK if they fix/improve the transfer or make it anamorphic. After that, it's a waste

Just out of curiosity, whats the difference between the US and International?

The US version has more content that was edited out - I believe some ~20 minutes' worth.
