Fiero Front End Drifting...

In my old 76 280z, the front end would actually lift off the road at speed (before I installed the airdam).

The 86 Fiero v6 I'm driving now does the same thing, but with a twist: Between 45 and 80 it feels like it's lifting off the road. Once I pass 80 it slams down and suddenly feels like I'm on rails. Perfect feel.

This car has a front dam as part of the bumper fascia, so I'm not sure how to correct. (I prolly won't correct since the car is for sale, but just curious.)

Other than the "Don't drive over 45" smart-a$$ed remarks, any suggestions?

I don't seem to have that problem with mine, so I don't know what to suggest. You could try Fiero forum to start. I have gotten some good advice from there

Keep it above 80 all the time? 😉

Best suggestion yet! LoL

And the front dam is 10" above the ground, not 4".

I musta been on crack or something. LoL

10" is huge. If you were gonna keep it, get a lower air dam. A 60lb bag of sand in the front storage compartment may help as well.

a heavy tool box is better, then when your "Fire-OH" breaks you have some tools to fix it.

Do you have frie extinguishers,[plural] with you?

i know several of the Fiero's in this area caught fire, for no apparant reason.

One made the local news a few years ago,as the owner removed the engine, and installed
a barbaque grill. LOL
