it comes up in different songs, but its not on dictionary.com. is there a different way to spell it or is it made up?

its not me, its a word someone asked me to help them spell. i wanted to make sure they got the right spelling, thats all
Yep, and it accurately defines the word as you hear it in the music you describe. Fiending is not strictly a "real" word. Musicians are not english professors. It sort of makes sense if you think about it.
