Theoretically the bus speed can be o/c to 124mhz and using the 2.0x multiplier AMD will translate it to 6.0 so in theory 6 x 124 = 744mhz . If you get yours somehow doing this I would suggest you go play the lottery because your one lucky fanobin blister. Setting it to 112x5 or 560mhz will more than likely the best you?ll achieve but I?ve read rumors of better. Good luck

hmmmmm,, no ideas? I tried 744 (124 x 6) but it wouldn't even post. I'm beginning to think there is some kind of trick to getting this thing over 500 that I'm not aware of...
Actually the processor just can?t handle that speed it just too far out of spec. Also the memory can?t handle the 124mhz, as well as the via chip set. What you can try is one of 2 things. A try setting the multiplier to 5 then set the memory to 112mhz see if it will post if it does great if not try tweaking the voltage up a .10 more than spec I can?t remember the voltage setting for the k6-2 500. If that works hey you now have a 560mhz computer. If it doesn?t try setting the memory to 100mhz and the multiplier to 5.5 tweak the voltage if you have too again 550 not too bad at all. Now if your really lucky and the 5 x 112 works at standard voltage try upping the multiplier to 5.5 if it post your doing damn good if it won?t boot in to windows try boosting the voltage by .10. I would not go over .20 with the voltage unless you have one serious cooler. Well we any luck you should be able to achieve 550 and possibly even 560 If your exceptionally lucky you?ll get the 5.5 x112 or 616 but I highly doubt it. Again the 500 Mhz was at the very end of the chips design It?s an excellent design but it?s not an Athlon or P3 it can only do so much. Well any way good luck and let me know how you made out.

You have got some great info so far. Thought I'd mention that you need to have a very good oversized fan connected with good compound. Those chips can get pretty hot. If your dying to get the most out of your system you should think about the K62+ or the K63+ chips. Have read a lot of success stories of 600 and even 616 with these chips. I currently have a 503+ running a K63+450 @600. Just another thought. I was having trouble getting over 500 until I found that the video card drivers were holding it back. It was a Savage S3 which is junk but the new drivers fixed the problem and it flew to 600.
