I have a FIC VA503+ motherboard with an AMD K6-2 500mhz cpu. All jumpers are set properly and the CPU is NOT being overclocked. I also have tried various HSF combinations, and nothing seems to help. Basically the system just gets super hot on the CPU and locks. When I first had the problems I was using a decent ATX midtower case, so I changed to a different case/psu thinking the psu was the problem, maybe too much power or something. It worked fine for a while, but now it is locking again.

Any suggestions as to what could be wrong?
