FIC AD11 dead after smoking CPU??

Anyone care to field a help question?

I am building an AMD 1.333GHz system with an AD11 MB. *Forgot* to reinstall the heat sink at one point and smoked the processor...literally. The replacement CPU arrived; and I set it all up again, including heat sink properly attached. I hit the power button and NADA. The heat sink fan and chipset fan spun a few rotations; but that was it. No POST. No beeps. Nothing.

I don't see any discolorations or damaged parts on the MB. Any advice? Did I fry the MB too?

It was the power supply at fault.

What kinda piece of junk power supply dies when the processor eats itself?
