Fiber to RJ45 (Cat 5 Cabling) Converter?

they are not cheap, and neither are Gbic devices for switches. I do know that I would think about using a switch at one end. For the difference in cost, it would be worth it in most cases.

Fry's (outpost.com) had some for ~US$80.00 each for 100Base.

Man, I remember spending $10,000 on fiber transceivers from Radiant just so we could link two POPS together (but it WAS about a 20 mile run)... It all went on the Amex with nary a word...
