Fiber Optic tv to PC

I'm clueless in diagnosing this issue.

We just switched from Time Warner to FiOptics. For some reason I have two entry points. One side is for two tvs and the other side is for my broadband.

With TW I had the broadband side split to the modem and two internal tv-tuners. I was running everything through Win7/WinMediaCenter and able to get analog cable and local HD channels.

With FO I was told that the coaxial only carries an IP address so they provided a set-top box. I am able to get a tv signal but the picture is at like 10 frames/second. The remote is also slow to respond (1 minute delay). Since the cable is split between the modem and the set-top box is it causing the slow picture and remote response?

The set-top box runs to a RF modulator and then to the PC. Running the coax directly gives no signal.

Is there a different Media program to run the tv signal through? Is there a different tuner card that would allow me to run a HDMI directly from the set-top box.

Sorry for the confusion. I'll try to post pics tomorrow to clear things up.

not sure you can do exactly what you were doing before with cable now that you are on fiber. IPTV is very different.

I know this is a late post, but I've been searching high and low to try to find an answer to get this working if its possible. Anyone help??? any advice is appreciated

Thanks!

FiOptics used to support CableCard. If it still does, you can use a CableCard tuner with Windows Media Center.
