FIBA World Championship: USA vs. Germany

Anybody watching this? It's halftime and the USA has a 40-39 lead on Germany.

Ademola Okulaja (former UNC player) has 11 points for Germany.
Dirk has 8 points.

Melo and Lebron both have 7 points for the US.

Urgh...I wish people would stop mentioning the "trade" of Nowitzki for Traylor.

The deal was already in place before the draft, so the Bucks were essentially drafting for the Mavs, and the Mavs were drafting for the Bucks. It's not like the Bucks drafted Dirk and decided to not keep him. They didn't have a choice.

Why isn't Germany not letting Dirk get a touch each time down the floor?

i'm wondering the same thing. that was three straight plays w/o Dirk touching the ball.

US lead up to 16 now. It'll be sweet to have all four no. 1 seeds in the semifinals. It'll make for really competitive games. I can't wait to see the Argentina/Spain game.

coach K's really done a great job. i really feel that he's the difference this year. put larry brown at the helm of this team and i bet they not nearly as effective.

Well you can't really blame the Larry brown.
how far do you think he would have gotten with this years team. They're much more balanced now.

Coach K doesn't have to deal with prima donnas like Marbury and Iverson.

Iverson a prima donna? I don't think so. Nobody in sports has more heart than Iverson.
