Fiat and Mazda join on Roadster development

Fiat is not buying a stake in Mazda, just a joint agreement on developing. This should help Mazda off-load some of the money they spend on R&D.

Should be interesting to see what Fiat comes with for the engine and sheetmetal. I hope this blossoms into other projects, perhaps turbos from FIAT since Mazda has no plans for a new V6.

It's as if two of the most gorgeous, but deeply flawed, kids in high school just announced they're having a baby.

For eight years, I drove a '93 Miata. Prior to that I had a mid 1970s Fiat 124 Spider.

Lots of potential with this collaboration. I wish them luck.
