I submitted an application for my fiance and I to appear on TLC's show "For Better Or For Worse".
Basically, the show gives you a professional wedding planner and a $5,000 budget. The couple picks 8 of their closest friends/family, and with the wedding planner they plan the wedding - everything from the dress to the location to the music, etc.
This way, if we're selected, we can have someone else pay for AND plan the wedding!
Of course, it could prove to be a disaster, but I think the people we picked are pretty competant (my mom, his mom, 3 of my girlfriends in California, his younger brother, and 2 of his grad school friends).
Anyway, we just got a call from casting and were told we were a "cute, TV-friendly couple" and to go in for an interview this Wednesday! I'm so nervous, but hopefully everything works out. If we're chosen, this would also be a good opportunity to introduce the two soon-to-be-mothers-in-law for the first time!
(in regards to our interview with the Fear Factor people, we haven't heard anything yet but were told we'd be contacted sometime in November if they're interested in having us on the show)
