On the world pass dealy...

Can I just keep creating characters, deleting previous ones, until I hit the server I want in order to avoid the stupid world pass crap?

And I suppose I'd like opinions on the gameplay too

We are experienced MMO gamers but have very little tolerance for fed ex and talktalk quests.

if you're trying to join a crowded server, it's nearly impossible without a worldpass. but if you're trying to start out with a bunch of friends at the same time, it shouldnt take more than a few tries to join the same server

How can I find which servers are least crowded? Is there something like warcraftrealms for FFXI?

Oh and while i'm on that topic, what's the url for the site that gives approx. population numbers for all mmos out today?

Yep, you can just delete and recreate accounts until you find the one you want.

As an alternative, you can try going to some FFXI forums and see if anybody has a worldpass for you. When i played FFXI, i use to post worldpasses all the time for people.
