FFXI Cross Platform?

IS Final Fantasy 11 actually cross platform. I have heard from different people different things and I want to know once and for all.
 
Unfortunately. Any kidiot with a ps2 can play, and the user interface is simple enough to use with a controller, which is to say too simple for many pc users, and has no room for customization.

IMO, FFXI was a PITA to use with a keyboard. I totally hated the game until I hooked up a PS2 controller to my PC. i still hate the game, but at least now it's for different reasons 😉
 
I played EQ for a while, and am thoroughly spoiled by its fully customizable UI. No one reading this should get the wrong idea - EQ really sucks now, like any other Sony/SOE game... but they did get the UI right. Something like what FFXI has could never work for me.
