I have an Elements drive (the small ones that only use USB power) and I believe it's a standard micro cable. Yep, just checked it with a 15' micro USB cable (used it for hacking my ATV2).

No, you're partially right. The drives with USB 3.0 support use a different cable. Just got one and groaned a bit inside.
