FF9 ending..

does anyone else agree that vivi is dead? it seems as if he's the narrator for the ending, plus he doesn't appear in the scenes

i don't even remember how it ended. it was a fun game though.

Well, basically, you're playing the end of the game...and then some crazy random last boss appears (never mentioned before, seems to have no connection with the story). Basically it's like "Ok, the story up to this point doesn't matter...just kill me now." So, you kill him, and everything is great.

Everyone I've talked to said the ending was random and made no sense/didn't clear up the story at all.

Anyways, I didn't think that anyone died...
