I found FF X-2 was too silly, compared to the seriousness of FF X

Plus, they removed what I loved from FF X. I loved the spheres. And I didn't like so much how in FF X-2 they changed roles like that.

The storyline was just dreadful too. First FF storyline that I was actually disappointed in. My standards are sky high thanks to all the previous FF games

damn, i wish i hadnt paid 23 dollars for it on ebay. yikes, wonder if i should even keep going with it.

Heh, I paid 50 bucks Canada for it. I ended up finishing the game. The boss at the end was too easy. Leveling up the characters in FF X-2 is way too damn easy. And too many diferent types of characters to choose from too.

FF X-2 is basically an abortion. The had an awesome story with FF X, why couldn't they repeat the magic?

Whoever the real creative storyteller is, they must of gone for some holidays.

I didn't even finish FFX -I got to the point where you're flying on the airship fighting the dragon in the air that guards a city, but it was just too boring.

I will, however, play FF9 over and over again. I played 2 minutes worth of FF3 on the PC years before playing FF9 on my first PSOne (the little white one). It was the first FF game that I played more than 2 minutes and the first I've finished. I've never liked any other FF game before it and I own 7, 8, 9, and X. I thought about X2, but considering X I just left it on the shelf. I haven't even tried it.

I agree. teh story was good but the FMV killed me. it seemed like you play for 15minutes then have 15minutes of fmv then 15 gameplay then 15 min fmv etc.

FFX2 has possibly THE worst storyline of any FF ever, but I like the gameplay. It's okay if you've played FFX.

If you haven't already, pick up FF7. It may be the best 100+ hours ever.

And yes, FF12 is for PS2.

Where would one pick up FF7. It is expensive as hell on amazon marketplace.

its expensive as hell anywhere.

Here's a sealed, black-label copy only going for $150+ on eBay.. but the reserve isn't even met. :p

I've seen an original sealed copy go for around $400 on ebay. Most of the time they are around $275 though. You can get a used copy in good condition for around $60-$70 I think.

You read my post and you still don't understand my opinion of FF9?

Yeah, I expected as much. I just haven't looke anywhere else.

Edit, you'd think they would release a greatest hits collection for ps2. Collect FF 7 8 & 9 and charge $40 for it. People would buy it just for 7.

The Greatest Hits version can be had for $20 at Ebgames (used). The original version is infinitely more expensive.

naa i lost interest after FF7. though i did buy FFX (for $10!). i couldnt play it because of all the FMV it has. so i won't bother buying any others. no point in it

FMV? FFX was a pretty decent game. I played it all the way through and enjoyed it.

I couldn't finish FFX because I hated the voice of the main character (Titus?). I thought the game was good, I just couldn't handle his voice, and I couldn't find an option to turn it off, either.
