FF doesnt respond...

While at home this morning FF was not responding, just the little circle spin for a minute or so, then nothing. I tried ping, IE, and ssh. All worked fine. Any idea what this could be? Im going to update FF later tonight, but this was just baffling.

XP pro, SP2, and FF v1.53 (iirc).

Edit: BTW, i was sure that i had FF 2.x.
