FF: Crystal Chronicles = suck!

I bought this game today. And I must say, I absolutely HATE it. This is the only Final Fantasy game that I dislike. I've played all the other ones (minus the ones never released in US), and I've absolutely loved them.

However, this game is absolute crap! Multiplayer is only with the GBA. The story line is weak. The fact that you have to stay in your circle is amazing gay!

I'm quite dissapointed in Squaresoft on this one.

Just thought I'd share. Anyone else played this game, and actually enjoy it?

well.. ive been playing ffx-2.. and its not nearly the same thing as x, whole game feels really really dumbed down. all the strategy and thought was taken out of it =\ they shoulda left the same battle system in

This seems to be the general opinion so far. What do you expect? Nintendo is always pushing for something new, not everything can always be a winner.

Grrr... Talk about biggest waste of $50 evar! I miss the whole turn-based action!

I wish Star Ocean: Till the End of Time would come out. Star Ocean 2 was complete ownage!

Guess I'll go play some Metroid Prime now. Definitely SELLING FF:CC!

how is the battle system on this one? If it's not turned based, does that mean you fight monsters real-time like diablo 2 or somethign?

wanna trade fzero for it?

Er, don't you guys read the previews/reviews? And I'm not even talking about the score, but the features/aspects of the game...

I do'nt like FPS games, so it's like me buying Timesplitters and saying "IT SUCKS!"

As Gr1mL0cK said.. the reviews point out that this is in no way a Final Fantasy game. The only reason it is called a Final Fantasy game is because Square put the name on the box to sell copies. Other then that it is a completely different style of game and really wont make FF gamers happy...

Sort of like Final Fantasy Online.. FF name, not FF gameplay.

I love the FF series, but I knew from the reviews that this game was gonna suck hardcore. It pisses me off to no end that Nintendo keeps pushing the useless GBA/GC connectivity crap, I hope this game fails miserably so that Nintendo can get it through their thick skulls that they don't always know what is best for the consumer.

No kidding. I read the reviews and I've already decided that it's probably not for me. If I happen to find it used for relatively cheap, I might check it out.

if people actually researched just a LITTLE b4 they bought a game, then they'd realize that this game will not be fun w/o 2 players or more.

yea, i agree though, FFCC is teh suck.

all i wanted was an authentic FF, but noooooooooo, they just "kiddied" up a Gauntlet game, and badged it part of the FF series. 🙁

I play with 3 other people. Some of the best multiplayer I've ever played in awhile. The loot/item system really makes you start some friendly smack talk/competition. You definately need at least 3 people to play. It's an excellent game.

Picked it up this weekend, and we've been having lots of fun with it so far. Just a pain to coordinate the schedules between 4 adults who all have kids... we ended up staying awake until 5AM playing, after starting in, playing for a couple hours, and then restarting once our fourth showed up.

The problem with this game is that it's obviously just a mediocre game that had the Final Fantasy name slapped onto it. It's very un-Final Fantasy-like. The multiplayer gimmick is beyond absurd.
