Few questions can anyone answer (gsync, 4k monitor tech etc)

1. Where can I find a list of all the nvidia g sync monitors I can buy with the gsync fully pre installed?

2. Also a list of upcoming monitors with gsync pre installed?

3. Any monitors with a higher than 1920x1080 resolution available with g sync?

- What I'm really looking for is either a 27" 120hz-144hz 2560x1440 monitor with gsync or a 30" 2560x1600 120hz-144hz monitor with gsync.

- Not interested in 4k yet. They can barely just support 60hz and the ones that do cost A LOT the cheap ones only support 30hz. Plus I only use strong single GPU's I don't like the compatibility and micro stuttering of crossfire/sli. I've been using the GTX titan since it first came out and even with it's big 6GB memory on board you still need 2 of them for proper gaming at 4k and some games even 2 can't sustain it over 60fps.

4. How many years will we be waiting for 3840x2160 120hz monitors with gsync installed? I won't be going 4k until that happens. Well that and single GPU's that can push games at ultra setting at 4k at a constant 60+fps or close to it (no drops below 50 as long as it has gsync as well). I have a feeling even the flagship maxwell wont be strong enough for that. I'm feeling it's gonna be 3 or 4 more years before all that can become a reality.

This is purely as a gaming setup. I have a P-L-P 3 monitor setup in the office but in the game room I have a 120hz 24" 1920x1080 monitor no gsync and I want to take that to the next level and gsync looks amazing but I want more than just gsync as the upgrade if I'm going to upgrade.

Well, those are pretty short lists as of today. AFAIK, monitors you can buy now with GSync would be "0" and monitors announced that will support it are 2 from Asus and 2 from BenQ. There's a 24" and 27" coming from BenQ that are both 1080p @ 144Hz, Asus is releasing both a 24" 1080p and 27" 1440p models also @ 144Hz. So far all announced models are TN, although they are going to be priced up there with more expensive IPS models.

As far as 1600p or 4k goes we are likely to see dynamically variable refresh rates as a standard feature on monitors before GSync reaches them.

You can buy the Asus VG248QE Monitor today with the gsync module preinstalled from a variety of stores (http://www.geforce.co.uk/hardware/technology/g-sync/where-to-buy) depending on where you live. That is the only current model on sale.
This is what was shown at CES in terms of models - http://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/2014/01/06/nvidia-g-sync-the-missing-link-for-pc-gaming-nirvana/. There are 6 partners in all, not all of them have shown off hardware yet but as you can see many have.

Only monitor of the announced group that is higher resolution is the Asus ROG 1440p 120hz monitor. I suspect we will see 4k gsync monitors by the end of the year maybe a little earlier. Asus had one at CES so its perfectly doable but none have been announced for sale yet.

Thanks. I had forgotten about the Philips (really poor rep in NZ) and didn't know about the Viewsonic. As far as your "available now" goes, I think buying a monitor modified by a 3rd party might be stretching the definition a bit. 😉 You are technically correct though. Do you know what the deal is with the warranty on the 3rd party conversions is?
