I'm building a system right now, and I have all my components except the mobo, proc, and RAM. Now I just need some suggestions on what mobo I should get which supports processors above 1 ghz, so I figured that I would ask you guys. I have about 1k to spend for the three remaining components.

BTW, does the Abit KT7-RAID support procs above 1ghz?

Also, how much better is DDR-RAM over SDRAM? I'm not sure if I should wait for DDR-RAM if it is just slightly better than SDRAM. I'm thinking about getting some Mushkin Rev3 SDRAM. My current comp I have is a Pentium 200, 32mb EDO RAM, so anything I can get my hands on is a step up. Also, if you could point me to some benchmarks on DDR-RAM compared to SDRAM, that would be great.

Thanks for all your help.

Would that 1 Ghz be a Pentium or Athalon?

If Athalon, I would go with MSI K7T Pro2A.It is a nice motherboard. Use the search feature and you will find a loadof threads on this board....

If Pentium, I am sure someone will answer...
