Few questions about Ubuntu install

I am thinking of upgrading, and I am wondering, how does the latest ubuntu x64 install on a Raid 0? I would like for it not to be to much of a hassle, and to avoid using floppys. If it was as easy as it is in vista, then no problem. Would be using the ICH10R on the x58 mobo.

Also, I would like to be able to multiboot, with a partition for vista, linux, and possibly Win7.
How easy is it to set this up? Also, I would like to be able to install ubuntu from my flash drive, which I have done b4, but it wasnt with a RAID.

Also, How well does linux/ubuntu support quadcore with hyperthreading, as in the i7 920?

I am not a complete linux noob, I have installed and used it b4, and installed programs on it from the command prompt, (such as quake wars) but I am not an expert. I have a dual boot with linux and xp on 2 different computers.

If you're using the onboard RAID controller then Ubuntu will likely see it as two separate drives since the RAID is all done in software in the driver. There's a dmraid module that can work with them but I don't know if Ubuntu will use it during install, there's no pain from downloading the LiveCD and seeing what it see though so give it a try.

It should be fine, SMP and SMT support in Linux are both fine so combining the two shouldn't hurt.
