Few questions about the Wii

I have a few questions

1) If I start a game using a disc borrowed from a friend then I get my own disc will I be able to use my old saved game created with my friend's disc?

2) Can I transfer saved games around? Can I take my saved game over to a friend's Wii, play it there for a while, then transfer it back to my Wii?

I've never tried either of these but from what I know:

1. I don't see why this wouldn't work.
2. Depends on the game. Certain games (like GHIII) won't let you transfer the save to an SD card for one reason or another. If you can transfer the save you should be able to play it on another Wii.

hrmm.. i wonder, is there a database starting for games that won't let you transfer save games? so far it's GHIII and RRR2... hah
