I think it is a pretty good player, and am very happy with the value.
A few things. I bought mine in store from office max, and it looked like the box had already been opened. it has a tendency to only produce sound when the earphone connection is stuck very far in to the female connection.
i like to use mine in the gym, so this is no good. I dont know if something is wrong with the female connection being so sensitive, or if its just those stock earphones that have a sensitive connector.
Also, as someone else stated, the length of the earphones is rediculous. Im only 5'10", and i cant put the player in my pocket w/out the cord coming out.
Where can i buy some other earphones for cheap?
I was kinda surprised the player didnt come with a belt clip or something of that nature. i was thinking one of those strps that goes around the abdomen for portable CD players might be cool.
Anyone else having these minor probs? It doesnt skip, but when theres just a little tension on the cord, i have to stop what im doing, and push it in farther. hopefully is just the earphones, and not the female connection on the player.
thanks in advance for any tips/comments.

I don't have that problem with the earbuds. And yeah, a belt clip would be cool. BTW, this is probably the wrong forum. So it might get lock soon, or the mod might move it to somewhere for you.

My main problem is that it won't download on my Athlon system...

But anyway, I would bring it back for an exchange, if possible. My headphone connection is very tight, in fact I have to remember sometimes to push it in all the way as it takes some force to get it to go down that last "click." I've only used it at work, but often I forget about it and roll my chair back and yank the player off my desk by the cord, and it's never once come loose even a little.

I don't even use the cheesy headphones it came with... they don't fit tightly in my ears, and (contrary to what others have posted), I hate the uneven-lengthed cord. I can't help finding a bargain, but really IMO you could just spend like $9.95 at Wal-Mart or somewhere and get a pair you'd be much happier with.
