Few quesitons about domains/hosting...

I just registered my first domain at namecheap.com...well now im going to probably sign up for addaction.nets hosting as advertised by rossman. But i had a few questions...

When i sign up for addaction im guessing i use the option: "I will Use my existing Domain, and update my Nameservers only."...When i do this what do i update on namecheap.com to work with addaction? Also if i do this am i correctin assuming that if i made a subdomain on my addaction cpanel like forums.mydomain.com then i can have it point to whatever directory i want rite?....

you update the nameservers @ namecheap with the ones given to you by addaction.net

ns1.addaction.net

ns2.addaction.net



pretty simple.


in regards to the subdomain, that's local to addaction. it's pretty simple once you get into the cpanel and look around.


but i seem to be having troubles accessing my forums subdomain, for some reason.

when i asked support@addaction.net, they didnt respond, and killed my tag.

thx...is there any reason i should wait until my domain is like totaly reigstered (24-48hrs) before i sign up for addaction?

I don't think so, you'll end up waiting anyways, because the dns needs to propogate so it directs to your webhost...

I think thats right, heh... I'm a new to webhosting also... in case I'm wrong.
