Few months ago I had help with trouble I am having when doing a search

For instance. I would do a search on my posts here. Look at one and bump it. Hit the back buttom. Be told:
The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings.

After getting this I have to go back to search and stick my name in every time I click on one of my old links and go back I get the error message.

I had a fix and forgot it and I need your help.

I remember opening internet explorer, going to tools, and somewhere in the something, a file pehaps, was too full and had to be deleted. Upon doing this all was good and back in shape working perfectly.

Has anyone come into this and know of what I speak? If you do please can you help me figure out again what I have to clear out so I dont have this happen. It not only effect anandtech but alot of other sites as well.

If you're talking about clearing your cache, it's under tools -> internet options. Look for temporary internet files...

I did that and it didnt fix it. I was hoping there was something else I was missing some where

This is how I clean my temp files using either XP or 2000

right click taskbar ? click properties> click start menu > customize > clear

then log out and login as Administrator and go to my username and local settings.. shift delete cookies and temp and history and temporary internet files

reboot and login rebuilds those folders

give it a try

Also, if you are on dial-up this could be a problem with com port settings not set to their optimum level??

Nope on cable. But deleting my cookies took care of it.
