I know we got an official thread goin here, but its taking me 4 ever to read through it all.

what are the straight up differences between A8N SLI and A8N SLI DELUXE boards?

does the 2Gigabit lan thing on the board mean 10/100/1000 and NO NEED FOR network card?

i know raid is for having 2 identical HD's run as one, can it be used for anything else? ive never used, so i dont really know all of its capabilites. dont know if have a need for it.

and from everyones opinion, does the realtek on board sound blow or what?

SLI -v-SLI Deluxe
1 onboard (NV) gb lan port -v- 2 (NV + Marvel) onboard gb lan port
4 sata (NV s-ata II) raid ports -v- 8(4 NV s-ata II + 4 SI s-ata) sata raid ports

The accessory package (cables, etc...) is lesser with the plain SLI.

gb lan is onboard via rj45 connector
onboard sound is fair
raid1 for disk dupplication (redundency)
raid0 spanning multiple drives as one disk = i/o speed
