hey guys,
I just got a nasty cold sore on my lip, I have some medication oinment called Zovirax.
the blister is caused from Herpes virus simplex 1, this is common finding on websites.

I was wondering, cause I have been reading about the ways to cure it the fastest way possible.
and I noticed on one site it says if the fever blister has already formed, pop it and let it ooze to help it start drying out...

I only found this on one site, and wondering if anyone else has seen something like this or is it just that one sites opinion. any other sites that say to pop the fever blister ?

right now I am just using the cream medication and letting it heal, but I want to know if I should pop the fever blister or let it heal by itself ?

thanks

LEAVE IT ALONE

Honestly, do NOT do that. If you pop it you risk having it spread to other areas of your body, and considering that the Herpes virus can affect any mucus membrane on your body, that is not a good thing.

I have found that if I don't touch mine, it heals in nearly 4 days now, as opposed to 2 weeks like it used to take.

then when its soft, pop it ish, it should just puss itself out and pop itself basically as you move your lip.

then use Abreva it works well.

yeah, plaster the blisters w/Abreva. you gotta do it about 4-6x per day, but it's very effective i've found. Abreva's not cheap...so try to get it from costco pharmacy if you can.

if you pop the blister, be very dilligent and clean the area well. keep the fluid in the blisters from leaking to non-blister areas of your mouth!

THIS man speaks the truth.

As long as you leave it alone it is sterile, pop it and it isn't.

Don't kiss or give blowjobs though.
