Kid was a douchebag and deserved to get the shit kicked out of him.

I 100% support our law enforcement in this situation.

I dont know... like stop?

After the window was up and the engine was running? It's the cop's fault for not saying something sooner and making it clear that the driver was not allowed to leave. The driver was clearly taking advantage of that uncertainty and the cop shouldn't have allowed it to get to that point.

Police say that before the amateur began filming, Chabbott grabbed the ticket book from the cop and ignored orders to stay on the sidewalk.

Chabbott was illegally parked and the Spider had no registration or inspection stickers displayed. The car also lacked a front license plate. He was charged with assault, vehicular assault, obstructing governmental administration and disorderly conduct.

Ah. Now it makes a bit more sense.

What is it with people not respecting the police?

When police give you a direct order, you should obey, or suffer the consequences.

I rewatched the video to make sure, they were exchanging words before getting in the car, after getting in the car, and he crept up a few times while the cop was saying stop and he did it one last time before the cop hit the window.

Lol at everyone that hates the guy with money...

The cop NEVER identified what he was doing and then tried to DETAIN the guy by blocking him with his body. He also purposely put his foot there...he was an idiot.

Also cop was TOTALLY out of line man handling the person's car.

That guy is going to walk with some cash in his pocket.

edit OP should update his post which without the following info is trolling:

Stephanie Pratt stars in an MTV reality show, but her boyfriend stole the show Saturday night, driving over the foot of a cop who tried to ticket his illegally-parked, six-figure Ferrari.

Pratt’s prosperous paramour, Julien Chabbott, 28, of Chelsea, was outraged when he spotted cops about to ticket his $257,000 Ferrari 458 Spider, in a no-standing zone in front of SoHo’s posh Mercer Hotel about 6:15 p.m.

Car enthusiast Damian Morys, 17, of Fresh Meadows, Queens, was admiring the Spider when he saw the confrontation and started filming.

In Morys’ version of “Men Behaving Badly,” Chabbott is seen sliding behind the wheel and attempting to drive away.

“I couldn’t believe it,” Morys said. “He can afford a $300,000 Ferrari; he should have just taken the ticket.”

The cop tried to block the fleeing Ferrari, but Chabbott apparently rolled over the officer’s foot.

The irate gumshoe slammed his hand on the window, shouting, “You run down my f------ foot!”

The cop then yanked Chabbott from the car and slammed him on to the trunk. Chabbott fell to the ground as the cop’s partner held one of his legs in the air and the injured cop slapped cuffs on him.

Police say that before the amateur began filming, Chabbott grabbed the ticket book from the cop and ignored orders to stay on the sidewalk.

Pratt, who stars on MTV’s “The Hills,” is seen on the video watching, then riding away in the car, driven by a friend.

Chabbott was illegally parked and the Spider had no registration or inspection stickers displayed. The car also lacked a front license plate. He was charged with assault, vehicular assault, obstructing governmental administration and disorderly conduct.

The cop was treated for an injured left foot and right hand and released from Bellevue Hospital.

He never ran over the foot, hence no assault with the vehicle. Cop is clearly abusing his power.

Dude in the car is also a complete idiot.

Why side with either?

i see nothing but douchebags in this vid. sleezy cop is going for a money grab by pretending his foot was run over. no fucking way. he planted it multiple times without hesitation dragging the driver out of the car. then he finally decided to dramatize it by limping in front of everyone.

It's sad that people are siding with the driver. He intentionally hit a cop with his car - that's never right. If it hasn't been mentioned yet, the driver has a whole slew of charges against him for this incident including assault.

What the fuck are you talking about? I'll just skip the pointless garbage and jump right to laughing at your punk ass. This poor schlep is rolling in a 458. Fuck that. F12 or he might as well be in a Hyundai. Or an old M3. I'd hope so if the guy can afford a Ferrari. Fuck, we've all got rolls of hundees. Then again I guess you and this guy might have it rough, but man up and get some scratch and stop whining. You're like the 99% of rich people, still not rich enough to not make everything about money.

Step down asshat. I am totally in the right here. The cop had no right to man handle that vehicle as he doesn't know who the owner is.

The cop had no right to try and block that vehicle with his body/foot.

If the cop wanted to arrest the guy, he should have done it. None of us knows exactly what lead up to this.

If the driver was ordered to stay on the curb, he does not have to comply. A police officer doesn't have that authority at all. You don't have to identify yourself even to a police officer unless behind a wheel or involved in a crime.

This cop acted as punisher instead of enforcer. I don't believe his foot was ran over either.

The car didn't bounce at all.

It's obvious you are a jealous mother fucker though. Nice throwing in old M3. What do you drive, bro?

Cop is a douche, as most are. Should not have put his foot under the car and DEFINITELY should not have punched the window.

Cops seriously need to kept in check. They are not gods among men.

Sounds like someone had a cavity search that went awry...

I'll admit homeboy calling out the M3 was a low blow...solid ride.

and then over extended the front door and then slammed the guy on the rear of the car, and then put his own body up against it playing the martyr part limping around.

This was a punishment of a 1%er.

The car clearly hit his leg. Granted, it barely touched him but it did "hit" him. That's misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon everyday of the week. The dude was told to stop, didn't, struck him(whether he hit his foot or not is certainly questionable but did hit his leg so not really important other than the cop is playing that up), still refused to stop, so he was removed and arrested for assault. All because he thought since he money he didn't need to stop for the cop. I'm not seeing the issue. The car had no registration so for as far as the cop knew the car was stolen and the guy was trying to flee the scene. When given a legal order by a cop, due as told.

i watched it a few times and the cop put his foot under the tire not once but twice. like a tire chalk, like putting his foot there would stop the car....

something is fishy. why was somebody recording a cop writing a ticket??? the car barely touched his foot but the cop is limping around like the whole weight of the car was on his foot.

fraudulent workman's comp case? Civil lawsuit against a rich guy for damages???

1. The word you are kooking for is chock
2. Agreed hes faking injuries at the end
a. Who the fuck tries to stop a moving car by sticking their foot under the tires
b. Car does not raise when approaching his foot which means it never went over his foot
c. Even if it did run over his foot, the weight of an exotic car, especially over the front wheels of a mid engine sports car, is nothing so it would not hurt.
3. Then he tries to pull the tough guy act by smashing his fist into the window. That probably hurt him more than the tire nudging his foot. Notice how delay the outburst was.

Cop was looking for a reason to yank him out of the car to cuff him.
*not saying the driver wasn't at fault
