Ferrari engine blow video...(any more info on the story of this guy who just drives ferraris to destruction?)

This vid was posted a long time ago, and I think the most logical explanation was that it was a radiator hose.

michael shumacher used to drive ferraris to destruction, but now they're pretty reliable and don't blow up in 50% of races.

I have a version of that video where you can hear the announcer on the show saying that the guy drove them to destruction and in this case it was a radiator hose.

Well i dont really care about what it actualy was, i just want to know more about how he got a cool job like that and more about the story i guess...

that video is from Jeremy Clarkson's Motorworld, and off track series when Top Gear when off the air as an end of the season in 1995. In this series Jeremy Clarkson went around the world looking at worldwide car cultures. I have the video's from that series but they are somewhere in my pile and they are PAL mode recordings.

Anyway he did blow up the engine, its not on the video here but the next shot is what happened. Yes it was a radiator.

At 14 he got a job at a wood yard so he could drive trucks and then eventaully he got a job at Ferrari as their test driver for their road going cars.
