Okay....so this is not exactly related to what`s been happening in Ferguson.

We do not know why these 2 men were running from the Police....

But if I was a man of color in Ferguson I would not stick around to find out if I was going to be fired upon......

Can we venture a guess why one of them shot the policeman??

http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/authorities-police-officer-shot-ferguson-25812247 -- different news source-- A Ferguson police officer was shot in the arm Saturday night after encountering two men at a community center who ran from him and then opened fire during a foot chase, authorities said.

St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar said at a media briefing early Sunday that the officer approached the men around 9:10 p.m. because the community center was closed. As the officer approached, the men ran away. When the officer gave chase, "one of the men turned and shot," Belmar said.

CNN) -- A Ferguson, Missouri, police officer was shot Saturday evening, according to St. Louis County Police spokesman Brian Schellman.

The officer was wounded in the arm. His injuries are non-life-threatening and he is in the hospital, said Ferguson police spokesman Tim Zoll.

Police said that the officer was shot near the Ferguson community center, an area which has not been the focus of protests over the Michael Brown shooting.

The police officer was patrolling alone in his car, two men saw the car and ran, said St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar.

"The officer exited his car; he ran to the west chasing these individuals. As he came into very close proximity with them, one of the individuals turned with a firearm," Belmar said. "The officer was able to block it with his arm and then was shot in the arm by one of the suspects."

The wounded officer later said that he fired "a couple of shots," Belmar said, but police have no evidence that either of the suspects was struck.

He said he did not think the shooting was connected with Ferguson's protests.

"It didn't happen within the proximity of the protest area," he said. "This (the shooting scene) is an area that's fairly secluded."

"I wouldn't have any reason to believe right now that it was linked in any way, shape, manner or form with the protests," he said.

Other police sources had previously reported that there was one suspect. One police spokesman said that the officer saw him flee from the back door of Ferguson's community center.

Police from multiple forces in the area responded to the scene on West Florissant Ave., set up a staging area, KMOV reported. Officers could be seen entering the neighborhood near the community center by car and on foot.

This is the most interesting part of your thread.
You are so spooked by police now that your going to run away when you see them?

I know what you were referring to. The circumstances of that shooting are not yet clear but you and many others decided to skip the facts and go straight to the conclusion. Well since that "logic" is what you prefer, perhaps you ought to consider that cops kill people. Authorities over them encourage it. The highest authorities live in DC. So the obvious conclusion to that line of "reasoning" leads to some bizarre and insane conclusions and "solutions" that likely get you shot, but that would vindicate you, right?

I need a new place to hang out on the internet.

There was a second shooting last night, luckily the officer was not struck with a round.

http://blogs.riverfronttimes.com/da..._from_protest_area_suspect_still_at_large.php

On September 27, 2014, at approximately 9:10 PM, a Ferguson Police Officer was on patrol in the 1000 block of Smith Avenue. The officer was conducting a business check at the Ferguson Community Center when he observed a male subject in the rear of the Community Center. As the officer exited his vehicle to contact the subject in an attempt to find out his reason for being there, the subject began running from the officer. The officer initiated a foot pursuit of the subject. During the foot pursuit, the subject spun toward the officer armed with a handgun, and fired shots at the officer. The officer was struck in his left arm with one round. The officer returned fire at the suspect, however there is no indication at this time that the suspect was struck by return gun fire from the officer. The suspect continued running into a wooded area behind the Community Center where the officer lost sight of the suspect. The officer was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for his injury. Officers from the Ferguson Police Department, as well as officers from several neighboring jurisdictions searched the area for approximately an hour and a half, however the search proved negative for the suspect. The St. Louis County Police Department's Crimes Against Persons Unit is conducting the investigation.

Later in the evening, at approximately 12:10 AM Sunday morning, the St. Louis County Police Department received a separate call for another shooting, this time involving an off-duty St. Louis City Police Officer on Interstate 70 near 170. The off-duty police officer was driving his personal vehicle westbound on Interstate 70 between Hanley and 170. The officer was traveling in the right lane when a vehicle began passing him on his left. An unknown number of occupants in that vehicle were armed with handguns and began firing multiple shots at the off-duty officer's vehicle. The officer's vehicle was struck numerous times, however it does not appear the officer suffered any gunshot wounds. The officer sustained minor injuries from glass breakage and was treated at a local hospital. The off-duty officer did not return fire. The officer was wearing his uniform pants, but was not wearing his uniform shirt. It is unclear at this time if the officer was targeted or if this was a random act of violence. The St. Louis County Police Department's Crimes Against Persons Unit is also conducting this investigation.

Both of these investigations are ongoing and any further information will provided at a later time.

Actually it's the smell of BS in the morning as you have to be the best thread crapper in the forum.

Nope, yet again.

It is being reported that now two officers were harmed in Ferguson - which is the topic of this thread. And, I am on topic (I even provided proof of my claim) - you've now turned this into a personal matter,... since you are clearly hurt over my matter of fact rebuttal.

You need to relax and stay calm.

No need to get worked up over being proven wrong,.. yet again.

Whom the police had no idea who did it at the time...

Some more "look a squirrel" reporting.

It's currently unknown exactly what the officer knew at the time of the shooting. There have been conflicting reports on whether the officer heard the lookout for Brown after he committed the robbery at the convenience store (and yes, it was a robbery, which is the taking of something through force, threats, or intimidation).

And even if the officer did not know about the lookout, we don't know what Brown thought when then the officer initiated contact with him. For all we know, those factors could have played an important aspect as to how the officer initiated contact, how Brown reacted, and what ultimately led to the deadly confrontation. Until those facts are known, we can all just surmise as to exactly what happened and why it happened.
